After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with an industrial engineering degree I started my career in operations consulting, where I worked on everything from the manufacturing of Boeing and Airbus planes, to the distribution of laboratory equipment, to textile retail. While consulting provided a great breadth of experience, I realized that I wanted to permanently impact a business and lead it to success.
I decided to go back to school to get my MBA at Carnegie Mellon to broaden my skill set and make the transition from engineering to entrepreneurship. I joined a local investment firm to turnaround several of their companies, culminating in my appointment as the CEO of a manufacturing business. During my tenure I was able to reduce employee turnover and increase company productivity, normalize the company's backlog, and increase overall profitability.
As a result of this experience, I decided to acquire a business of my own that I could run as CEO. Fortunately, during my time at Carnegie Mellon I met my investor partners and forged the relationships that are enabling me to pursue my goal.
Outside of work I enjoy restoring and tinkering with cars and motorcycles, hiking and have a life-long history of practicing the martial arts. I am excited to find the right company, relocate to a new community and take a business to the next level.
